Which Version of Safety Size should I download 2004 or 2005?
Answer: If the computer you are installing the program on has a previous version of Safety Size running
(Safety Size 2002, Safety Size 2003, Safety Size 2004) then we recommend using Safety Size 2004. If you
are doing a brand new installation on a machine that has never run Safety Size, we highly recommend using
Safety Size 2005.
UPDATE: Due to Windows XP issues with SafetySize 2005, we have removed it from the downloading options.
We recommend 2004 for all installations at this time.

If I upgrade from Safety Size 2004 to 2005 will I lose all my historical information?
Answer: During our preliminary testing we found that a few machines did lose their database information
when upgrading from older versions. We have tried to minimize problems from upgrading, however there are some
instances where data was lost and we were unable to recover. If you are currently running Safety Size 2004, we
recommend that you continue using Safety Size 2004 and do not upgrade to 2005.
UPDATE: Due to Windows XP issues with SafetySize 2005, we have removed it from the downloading options.
We recommend 2004 for all installations at this time.

Do you support Windows Vista and Windows Longhorn?
Answer: Safety Size is not being tested for compliance with Windows Vista/Longhorn at this time. We are aware that
Microsoft will not support the MSDE engine on Windows Vista/Longhorn. We are in the process of developing
a compliant version to be released later in 2007.

What is the difference between Safety Size 2004 and Safety Size 2005?
Answer: Safety Size 2005 has an upgraded installation procedure that simplifies the installation problems that
have been common to Safety Size 2004. Safety Size 2005 also has a beta version of "Boiler Set Sizing" included in
the program. There are a few small bugs and data corrections between the programs, however it is not necessary to
upgrade from a previous version.
