SafetySize 2004 Installation Instructions:
Interim
SafetySize 2003/2004 users only:
-
Open existing SafetySize 2003 program (If you do not want to save a project,
skip to step 4).

Select the first project, click on File and then Export Project. Navigate to a
location outside the AGC folder and give it a file name. Save the project in
this location as an xml file. Delete the project you just exported.

Repeat step 2 for each project that you will need for later use.

When all data that you require for future use is saved as xml file(s), please
close the program and uninstall it through the control panel.

Now, locate the SQL server icon in
your systray (beside the system clock). This icon looks like a server with a
green arrow or a red dot. If it’s a green arrow, right click and select “MSSQL
Server – Stop”. The icon will change to a red dot. Right click one more time
and select “Exit”.

Now, uninstall the MSDE engine through the control panel. Open Windows Explorer
and delete the “MSSQL7” folder n the ‘C’ drive.

Windows 98 and ME users see below.
Existing SafetySize 2002 users only:

Open existing SafetySize 2002 program.

Reboot the machine, open the Windows Explorer and confirm that there is no AGC
folder under Program Files on the C:\ drive. If one still exists, please delete
it.

Windows 98 and ME users see below.
Existing SafetySize 2001 users only:
-
Using the control panel of your PC, uninstall the existing SafetySize 2001
program.
- Open the Windows Explorer and delete the AGC folder under Program
Files on the C:\ drive if one still exists.
- The existing projects/tags from
SafetySize 2001 will be copied to SafetySize 2003 during the installation.

Windows 98 and ME users see below.
Windows 98 and ME users:

After MSDE installation, when the computer reboots, before you click next on
the installation, please click on the "Start" button, go to "Programs", and
select MSDE Application folder.

Select Service Manager.

In the window that pops up, click on the start/continue button, and also make
sure the "Autostart with OS Starts" checkbox is Checked.
New local or Stand-alone PC Installation (not for
network use):
-
Run the utility on the next page called “IsSQLInstalled.exe”. Click on
hyperlink, and click on button named “Open”. The utility will determine which
installation you will need. Make sure you copy the pass code by right clicking
and selecting “Copy”. Close the utility by clicking on the ‘x’ on top right.

Paste the pass code (by right clicking and selecting “Paste”) on the browser
window and click next. This will redirect you to a page with the correct
downloadable installation.

Open or save the installation to any location on your machine. Double click on
the executable to unpack the WinZip file. The default unzip location is
“C:\Temp\SS2004”. Navigate to this location on machine and double click on the
“SS2004*****Setup.exe” to begin the installation.

The TVCData database will be attached to the engine.

On program start-up, the server configuration will launch. Three of the five
fields will be pre-filled with information. Please type in your personal
security information (any text) and click okay.

Type in your company name or select from drop-down list if it is available.
